Is TOrDO free?
Yes — completely, during early access (since version 2.1.2). Every feature is included, with no subscription and no paywall: Smart Swipe Deck, Focus Sounds, Routines, Task Notes, full Insights and the crowned app icon. Themes are earned with the points you get for finishing tasks, and any theme you've unlocked stays yours. iCloud Sync is free too, and on by default.
How does the swipe deck decide what to show me?
The deck mixes fresh tasks with ones you haven't engaged with in a while so nothing gets forgotten. Smart Swipe Deck also learns the times of day and categories you're most active in and reorders to put the right task on top at the right time; you can turn it off in Settings.
What are Focus Sounds?
Brown, pink or white noise that plays while a task's timer runs — pick one with the speaker button at the top right of the timer. It mixes with your own music, keeps playing with the screen locked, stops when you pause or finish, and fades out when the task's estimated time is up.
What are Routines?
Ready-made routines — morning, leaving the house, work shutdown, evening wind-down and a weekly reset. Open Tasks and tap the circular-arrows button at the top left. Adding one creates a repeating task with its steps, which you can edit like any other task.
Can I turn off iCloud Sync?
Yes: TOrDO → Settings → Cloud Sync. Turning it off keeps your tasks on this device only (it takes effect the next time you open the app).
I subscribed before everything became free.
Thank you! Nothing is locked any more, so you can cancel any time in the Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → TOrDO. If you'd like a refund for a recent charge, you can request one from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I lost my tasks after reinstalling the app.
If iCloud Sync was on (it is by default), your tasks will reappear once iCloud finishes syncing. If you had turned Sync off, local-only data can't be recovered after a delete + reinstall.
Does TOrDO collect my task data?
No. Your tasks, steps, and notes live on your device (and in your own iCloud if you enable Sync). We use TelemetryDeck for anonymous usage analytics — see our Privacy Policy for details.
The widget isn't updating.
iOS controls widget refresh frequency. Try locking and unlocking your phone, or removing and re-adding the widget. If it still doesn't update after a few minutes, email us with your device model and iOS version.
